THIRD CULTURE KIDS - WHAT ARE THEY ANYWAY?

A TCK is a person, sometimes you will see references to a TCA (Third Culture Adult), that has one home country, but was raised in one or more other countries/cultures. As a result, they created for themselves a hybrid cultural matrix that is an amalgamation of the cultures they were exposed to while they were growing up. As you can imagine, these cultural hybrids are unique depending on the circumstances surrounding the TCK's upbringing. And it also results in an unusual world view.

I very much enjoy making contact with other TCKs. We share a relatively unusual background and I really want to be able to make contact with other people who grew up like that.
